REGISTRATION FOR Ph.D PROGRAMME-2015-16 SESSION

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for registration to the Ph.D. programme in all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Computer Application, Architecture, Management, Pharmacy, Science and Humanities.

ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION:

All candidates seeking registration to the Ph.D. programmed should possess the requisite qualification as indicated below.

1. To be eligible for entrance test, a candidate must have obtained a master degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA in a 10 point scale or 60% of marks in aggregate of any recognized University, or any degree recognized as equivalent in the subject in which the candidates wishes to pursue a course or research or in an allied subject.
2. Candidates having GATE/NET/GPAT/CAT/XAT/QIP or any National level recognized test or having been granted fellowship by recognized organization (such as DST Inspire etc) are exempted from entrance test and they have to appear the Via-Voice of the University.
3. The candidates having more than 55% and less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible for entrance test subject to having five years of experience in technical institute/R& D laboratories/Industries.

Application form (as per the Appendix-I of Ph.D. regulation) duly filled in should be sent to the Registrar, BPUT, New Campus, Chhend, Rourkela by registered post along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/-(Rupees One Thousand Only) drawn in favour of “Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha” on any nationalized bank payable at Rourkela towards processing fee.

Applications received after the due date shall not be considered for scrutiny. Possession of minimum eligibility does not guarantee that the candidate shall be selected for registration.
